Review of Pride and Glory (2008) by Sarah . — 03 Jul 2009
I had hoped this would be better.
What I didsliked most about this movie was two things. One there were many instances when people were speaking I Spanish, the problem was there were no subtitles, and very rarely was an english explination given of what they had been talking about. I figure it must not have been that important if they didnt put subtitles but still I just felt like I was missing something.
Second, for at least the first half of the movie it was somewhat difficult to follow. It was clear that something was going on but you couldnt tell what and people kept having conversations and honestly they made no sence at all unless you knew some huge backstory - which we didnt.
Overall I was let down and saddened by the fact I didnt like an Edward Norton film, although all of my dislike had nothing to do with him. He was one of the few who I felt did a good job, with the not so good script he was given.
