Review of Pride (2014) by Benwomack — 04 Mar 2020
It is a telling of something that really happened.
Idea - you find love/teamwork in the most unlikely places?
Reaction: There's a load, of these sorts of movie: song for Marian, Best Exotic Marigold Hotel, Made in Dagenham, The Full Monty; It is a telling of something that really happened.

This movie didn't work on me/ wasn't an especial of its kind, I found.
It was a bit forceful, a bit empty - In a scene towards the end, Bill Nighy character whispers 'I am gay' to Imelda Staunton.
I don’t think he is. I don't think there was any lead up to that.
Also, having him say this, may make someone else say ‘oh right. So he’s ‘gay’.'
'So the only reason he helps 'homosexuals' is because of self-interest.'
And do I have to watch Dominic West dance the funky chicken? Has it come to this?
Thanks.
Does it use beautiful people to get its point across? I can't remember.
