Review of Priceless (2006) by Simon F — 16 Jun 2008
Filmed and set in the sumptuous Cote dâ??Azur, the beautiful and engaging Audrey Tautou (from Amélie, a wonderful film about a girl in Paris) gives a sexy, confident performance as a woman who manages to charm the men for her own personal gain.
This was a really enjoyable film, proving that the French can give the US a run for their money in making rom-comsâ?¦and excel. Oh, and the scene when Audrey drops her dress to the bedroom floor was lovely too, at least for my imagination! (Female friend pouring water over my head in cinema at said point, presumably to cool my armourâ?¦).
Sub-titles in French make it even more sophisticated and charming. Go see it.
