Review of Priceless (2006) by Gary C — 06 Dec 2008
Audrey Tautou might very well be my favorite actress. She's infinitely watchable, in any and every movie she's in, even the terrible attempts at making Dan Brown books. With that bias in mind, I can definitely say that the French really have the concept of romantic-comedy down.
I mean, they rarely screw it up, and this is just more proof. Audrey is fantastic, but it's really Gad Elmaleh who keeps the movie going. There's something about seeing the constantly starstruck look on his face that I can relate to, because I imagine that's what I look like when I see Audrey Tautou.
Good plot, a few good laughs, and really entertaining. Check it out if you don't mind subtitles.
