Review of Pretty Persuasion (2005) by Nick A — 26 Jul 2006
Really really incredible. Hilarious, shocking, cruel, scary, dramatic, sad, powerful, intense, thrilling - EVERYTHING! This was the best role I've ever seen Even Rachel Wood in. She was incredible and sooo scary with it.
Her pure evilness towards the end is what's truly shocking about the film and it really is smartly put together. It's very engaging and had me hooked, even though it did have offensive moments.
James Woods was disgusting, but in a good way - he played the part amazingly well. Everyone in the cast was incredible. Friggin awesome. I loved it. For me, when a move takes me through a wide-range of emotions - it has something unique.
This movie did that. I was having fun, laughing, enjoying it, then shocked and disturbed by the end. It was great!
