Review of Pretty Persuasion (2005) by Danielle S — 14 Dec 2008
This movie lost it's satirical, dark comedy edge nearing the last half hour. Although the plot was well-done, some of the jokes just weren't funny. Clever, but not funny. Evan Rachel Wood was well cast as a psychobitch, but the loss of comedy at the end left me with a bad after taste in my mouth.
The redeeming factors include a great plot, cast, and the hilarious reference to To Kill a Mockingbird. "Which hand did he touch you with? Both.".
