Review of Predestination (2014) by Shannon S — 14 Mar 2015

This slow-burning time travel yarn reminds me of how the best works of science fiction fire all your synapses at once while spinning out webs of moral complexity. Predestination is such a head trip and it's stylishly executed to boot.

It's paradoxical balance of sci fi mind bender, film noir mystery and Greek tragedy. Ethan Hawk stars as a Temporal Agent and he's a solid actor, but I'm more thrilled by Sarah Snook's amazing performance.

I'd never heard of her until I watched this movie but now she's on my radar and I look forward to checking out her work in future films.
