Review of Predestination (2014) by Áriane B — 28 Mar 2015
Mind fuck alert â? !!!! Ok I have a few gripes with this movie, first and foremost I can't stand Australian movies that pretend to be American. American in style or content is can handle but actually faking it and pretending to be an American movie is the cultural cringe at its worst.
Secondly it takes precisely 51 minutes for this movie to get going and actually become interesting. I can't give away the plot but the lead one of the lead actors is just utterly unconvincing, I'll leave it at that.
But and it's a really big but, the rest of the movie is totally awesome, I picked up a few things I probably wouldn't have if a friend hadn't given away much of the plot whilst eagerly telling me how good this movie is.
