Absolutely Gabourey Sidibe does a real nice job in her debut, and Mo'Nique shows world-class range. But as most others have mentioned, the material is manipulative, or as 30 Rock put it (no, not "Fresh-Ass, based on the novel 'Tush' by Ass-fire"), "Hard to Watch, based on the novel 'Stone-Cold Bummer' by Manipulate".
