Review of Precious: Based on the Novel 'Push' by Sapphire (2009) by Chris S — 22 Feb 2011
I read the book first. I'll start out premising it with that. I'll say that the book is harder to read than watching it for some reason; some of the description of the subject material, when read, just seemed so much more graphic and vivid than actually seeing it to me and for whatever reason, reoccurred more often.
That being said, the movie as fantastic as the book, and I think the adaptation, though a few liberties were taken, was suitable.
