An emotional and hard-hitting film from director, Lee Daniels. An exceptional performance from Mo'Nique, with Gabourey Sidibe and Paula Patton being very good also. Smaller roles played by Lenny Kravitz and Mariah Carey were also performed extremely well, and I didn't find them to be a distraction, as some people have said.
