A movie that stays with you, if you want it or not. The life of Precious is truly disturbing and heart-breaking. There are a few scenes that are very hard to watch. The impact the movie leaves on you is due to the superb performances by the lead actors.
Mo'Nique deserves all the praise and awards she got for her performance. She manages to combine the conflicting emotions this woman feels and creates a really authentic character. Also, I was surprised by the performance of Mariah Carey.
Her music is not really my cup of tea but I would love to see her as an actress more often.
