I have to say, I wasn't too sure about this film, and at one stage, thought I would be turning it off before the end, because it was just nasty in its tale. I stuck with it, and am glad I did, just to see the main character triumph to a degree in the end. It is sad that I can't look at this film, and see it as just a work of fiction, because the truth is, there are 'precious's' out there, and the sad fact is, they shouldn't.
Quite a trip to see Mariah Carey as a frump, and well done to her for doing it too.
