It might be hard to watch, and perhaps even shocking and depressing, but Lee Daniels' Precious is so deep, powerful and realistic that is definitively worthwile, with its cast presenting some exceptional and unforgettable performances.
Daniels' film debut is an oustanding and moving tale of survival .
