Review of Pray for Japan (2012) by Yoshi K — 19 Mar 2012
What an awful propeganda film. Like NY times said good intentions dont make good movie. Movie was only about the positive side and did not represent our disaster or do any justice to our history. It seems Mr Levy was trying to make a name for himself off our tragedy and reviews are showing it did not work.
This movie did nothing to help disaster but donation. Did not help anyone to understand the reality and totally left out the nuclear disaster that we have to live with. If the money did not go to Charity, I would ask for a refund.
It is total trash that hijacked a phrase last year. Mr levy said he was moved by the passion of people of Tohoku however he started to fundraiser only a couple of days after the earthquake, meaning he did not see what he claimed in his initial fundraiser, because there was no rebuilding the first week.
We had nuclear disaster that entire Week and Mr Levy ignored that aspect. This film is a total failure that will ends up on 99 cent rack or 100yen shop if its lucky.
