Review of Prancer (1989) by Amy D — 09 Dec 2008
This movie was absolutely one of the best christmas movies I have seen. I love Christmas and love the movies that come on the 25 days of christmas count down..... this was touching to see just a child who believed in not only Santa but Heaven too...... and to much good reason she belived in heaven, because her mother had past away and she knew she went to heaven. For a child to want to stay with the family she has, even it meant more work for her, for a child that believed in stories she had been read by her mother when she was living, and for a child to have the will and the determination to help an animal that was injured (even a wild animal) is just to impressive to me. I believe children can do anything they set their minds too no matter where they come from or what situations that have been dropped on them. Children are our future. But adults have to believe in the children, as Sam Elliott did. He had faith and believed in what the child (jessica) believed in and it brought the logic to him as well about letting his daughter go stay somewhere else. He realized that he could stand loosing the farm and the house but it would just destroy him to loose his children. Just a heart warming heart touching movie. I give it the highest rating it can receive. I think there needs to be more movies made like this one. .
