Review of Postcards from the Edge (1990) by Manny C — 21 Feb 2008
Carrie Fisher wrote the screenplay based on her own turbulent relationship with her mother Debbie Reynolds. Shirley Maclaine (herself a good friend of Debbie's) is wonderful as the OTT celebrity mother.
Meryl Streep is also fantastic. I have not been able to say the word "twirl" the same way since seeing this film. Hilarious!
