Review of Postal (2007) by Tony M — 23 Aug 2008
This is surprisingly a fun movie. Every Uwe Boll movie I have seen has been horrible, with bad acting (understatement), being completely unfaithful to the video game's storyline that the movies are based on, half the time making no sense, and they usually try way too hard to be a serious movie.
So normally Boll tries to make a great film and ends up with crap, this time he started out trying to make crap and ended up with a good (not great) film. The acting is pretty good, the action is fast paced (a rare thing in Boll movies), and the movie is full of all kinds of humor (dark, goofy, twisted, etc).
I should take a moment to say, most of this movie is in poor taste. If you are easily offended, don't bother. Heck, if you get offended at all, you should probably think before watching this movie.
But if you can laugh at jokes about everything, and I do mean everything (this movie is like Robot Chicken on steroids), then you just might enjoy yourself.
