Review of Postal (2007) by Chris P — 02 Oct 2008
Give Uwe Boll some credit: it took a lot of balls to make this film. But is it a success? Financially, obviously not, but Boll's skewering of anything and everything - from politics to religion to film and even himself - is pretty damn entertaining.
Postal might be a little rough around the edges, but its crude take-no-prisoners nature eventually won me over. Though the sketch comedy nature of the film misses a little more than it hits, there are a few uproariously funny scenes (the Little Germany shootout is brilliant) that show that maybe Boll might have a truly good movie somewhere inside of him.
