Playing all the right notes to my romantic self this oddly cast parallel storyline captivates in its weaving plot. Heavy on the romantic helplessness of past and present there's enough adventure to keep the bile at bay.
Actual historians will have to keep their comments about 'correct' procedures to themselves!
