Review of Possession (1981) by Sandra M — 30 May 2010
Based on A.S. Byatt's sweeping academic mystery novel of the same name, the film sadly does not live up to its literary namesake or its title. Pleasant but somewhat limp, one never truly feels the the lead characters' passion or cares for their fates.
Read the book instead - it will stay with you forever.
