Review of Poseidon (2006) by Joel Q — 30 Dec 2009

This movie has some good "edge of your seat" action and suspense sequences. It's pretty much action packed from 15 minutes into the film through the end. What leaves this film to fall flat is the lack of character development.

There are allusions made throughout the film that the characters having intriguing background stories, but the writers never take you there. The result is a detachment from these characters where you don't particularly feel for them.
