Review of Pooh's Grand Adventure: The Search for Christopher Robin (1997) by Michael H — 07 Feb 2013
When I found Pooh's Grand Adventure: The Search For Christopher Robin in my bedroom, lots of nostalgia came back into me from my childhood in the early 2000's watching this all the time. I decided to take a look back at it and I was amazed at how excellent it holds up to today's standards of films. The film recieved mixed reviews due to some of the dark imagery the film offers which I will get to in a moment. But first, lets look at the plot to the best Winnie The Pooh Film of all time. On the last day on a golden summer, Christopher Robin forgets to tell Pooh that in September he is going to school. When they mistake his message on a honey pot that he is going far far away, they try to find him on.. THE GREATEST FRIGGN ADVENTURE OF ALL TIME! This is what I call an adventure film. A film that sucks you in immediatley into the action of the adventure. On their adventure, they go through deep and dark woods, murky swamps and the eye of the skull (AKA the school) The dark scenery caught most critics off, but kids sometimes should have some harder material to watch sometimes. The scenery is excellent. The songs, these are the best songs in a Winnie The Pooh film ever. They are meaningful, they sound good and all of your kids will love the songs in the film. The score is more sadder but it is also beautiful to listen to. This film should have gotten a theatrical release. I hope it comes to blu ray sometime soon. Pooh's Grand Adventure may be not to you... but to me, the greatest adventure of all time.
95/100 A.
