Review of Pontypool (2009) by Justin B — 18 Jan 2010
I so dearly wanted to love this film, but I was more than just a little dissapointed.
The film starts off very well and quite a bit of suspense is acquired within the first 45 minutes while the audience and characters in the film now very little of the goings on.
However, after that point, everything unravels and the explanations of the current epidemic at hand is surely original but it is so outlandishly bizarre and incredibly hard to wrap your head around.
Everything the film had going for it in the beginning is all thrown out by the end, and in the final dramatic moments of the film, I found it hard to care about our heroes anymore.
