Review of Pontypool (2009) by Meghan M — 18 Apr 2010
A well done Canadian film. I know, it seems like an oxymoron, but there you have it. This zombie thriller attempts to give you goosebumps, or at least feel tense about the outcome through the unknown. Everything is filtered through a live radio broadcast, and the bad ass DJ is trying to piece it all together.
There is zero action and very little zombie appearances. But somehow it still worked. The movie focuses on the virus and the cause and cure for the zombies, and even has a somewhat unusual political stance.
Language is very interesting.
