Review of Pontypool (2009) by Matt W — 04 Jul 2012
A 'zombie' film with a genuine attempt to take the genre in a new direction and a great premise for a low budget effort. Unfortunately the ideas presented are not quite as 'fleshed' out or explored as much as I was hoping for as the film neared it's climax.
However the escalating sense of dread and confusion leading up to the end, backed up by some compelling performances, is still thoroughly engaging and makes for a fairly good evening's entertainment.
The film's new ideas in zombie infection will leave you with much to 'chew' on after it's finished.
