Intelligent satire on the saturation of media, corrosion of authority and the death of the English language- or an innovative and unsettling horror? Well, both really. A slow burning, atmospheric and effective thriller that would have created Orson Welles level hysteria if they'd put it out as a radio play.
This deserves to be seen by more people, and even transcends the genre into minimalist, desperate theatre- comparisons to the tone of Beckett, Potter and Pinter wouldn't be unfounded. It's Bertolt Brecht directing Romero.
Just awesome.
