Review of Pompeii (2014) by Mary Ann K — 09 Jun 2014
Terribly predictable and too heavily focused on romance and revenge, Pompeii virtually ignores all historical facts surrounding the real disaster, adding in fireballs, lava, and a giant tidal wave even though none of those things happened to the real Pompeii.
The all-star cast tried very hard to make the film work but this is certainly not a movie I would see again. Once again, Paul W.S. Anderson has shown his inability to direct a film.
