For a movie full of TV-grade actors, this should have been a made-for-TV miniseries.

I mean, for a film that focuses so much on the eruption of Vesuvius, why did they wait to have it show up an hour into an almost 2-hour film? On top of that, it felt like quite the minor character at that point.

Honestly, if you want to watch this movie, watch "Gladiator", then hit the highlight reel from "Volcano".
