I love the original Poltergeist, it gets everything right. It has a great atmosphere, a great family dynamic which makes you believe in what's going on and all the main characters are spot on. Now take all that and reverse it and you have the remake.
It starts ok and then it goes downhill once it starts to mirror the original and quickly becomes a mess. A pointless remake.
