Review of Poltergeist (2015) by Tia M — 08 Jun 2015
Some classics simply don't need a remake and the poltergeist is a prime example. The weirdness and attacks begin quite early in the movie without any true suspense or weirdness build up, which I had to understand since it's only a hour and 33 minute run time.
It seems as though the main focus in the movie is the boy and technology gadgets rather than the actual POLTERGEIST and the abduction of the girl. I give it two stars because of the visual effects. (save the extra cash the 3D was typical) Not a real edge of seat or jumper for me or the party of people who came along.
