Review of Poltergeist (2015) by Thien H — 30 Oct 2015
In the beginning of this movie things were happy and light when a family first moves into there new home. But when things take a turn for the worse and the youngest daughter is the spirits way to get to the light things get ugly.
I thought that this was a really good horror movie. Camera composition and scripting was key. This movie did a good job with switching from a scary scene to a regular family scene. This movie made me laugh, feel nervous and anxious and also feel sad for this family.
This film had very well thought out horror scenes too. I thought that these scenes were perfect intensity and went really well with the plot, characters and they weren't just in there to scare you they helped add to the plot of the movie.
Also this was a remake of a 1982 poltergeist film which I thought that the 2015 film was much better and was easier to understand and defiantly more scary. Director Steven Spielberg did a good job in the beginning of the film to get to know the family and connect with them which is key.
If you are looking for a scarier movie to watch this Halloween this movie is defiantly worth watching.
