Review of Point Break (2015) by Nannina G — 24 Sep 2010
Director Kathryn Bigelow and Executive Producer James Cameron collaborate in this 90's crime classic. It's an all out adrenaline shot of high flying action, surfing, and intense thrills. Point Break is one of the better crime films to come out of the 90's. It's a kinetic heist caper that I guarantee will have you on the edge of your seat throughout. Beautifully shot and very well executed shootouts and heist sequences are some of what Point Break has to offer. The surfing scenes are also top notch featuring some of the most beatutiful ocean shots you'll see on film. A movie that has an element to please everyone drama, action, romance, and surfing fill the two hour film.
Featuring Keanu Reeves, in what I would call his breakout role, as an FBI agent sent to infiltrate a bank robbing gang of surfers. He falls for a beautiful surfer played by Lori Petty, and gets to know those responsible for a group of armed bank robberies. He plays a cat and mouse game with the gang of surfers lead by Bohde-Patrick Swayze in a great performance-trying to ultimately bring them to justice.
An exhilarating and astounding roller coaster ride of nothing put pure fun. An intense wave of blistering action, violence, and romance. A classic.
