Review of Pleasantville (1998) by Michael D — 18 Mar 2013
Laced with social commentary, Pleasantville is a touching and surprisingly important film about change, independence, and identity. With its likable characters, surprising wit, and sincerity, Pleasantville's charming blend (or rather, transition) between black-and-white and color is both visually striking and thematically significant.
