Review of Platoon (1986) by Topher H — 19 Feb 2012
What is more awesome than the realism and brutalities of war depicted in this film is how it is directed by the Vietnam veteran himself: Oliver Stone. Stone's application of his personal experience in the war to the content of this film makes Platoon the most astounding Vietnam War film I ever seen.
There are also great performances brought on by Charlie Sheen, Willem Dafoe, Tom Berenger, and all the other actors.
