Review of Platoon (1986) by Angel E — 30 Dec 2012
Oliver stone made a movie so real and beautiful that for that he won an oscar.platoon is a masterpiece is a movie were shows the madness the blood and the suffering of the soldiers that in this movie is the vietnam war.
The good the acting charlie sheen acted really well as the new guy the amateur who had innocence but slowly goes losing it.willem dafoe was great it was a friend and a good guy who had a heart who do the correct.
Tom berenger was menacing as soldier who didnt give a crap about making good decisions he was the bad guy.forrest whitaker appeard in a few scenes and was cool.the settings and locations there were outstanding the jungle the base were great.
The action were great didnt have gore but have blood and it was real.plot the plot was different and interesting it didnt have a bad guy because the war made them change to bad guys it was a wonderfull character study not an action film putting the vietnamese as a threat there were a enemy just because a captain from the army saids so.
The bad dosent affect the rating but sometimes the music was a little repetitive beautiful but repetitive.overall a masterpiece of a film with a great message of the consequences of war.overall score 10 out of 10.
