Gritty, poignant and disturbing, this is Stone's message to audiences that during Vietnam, we weren't at war with the enemy, we were at war with each other. Sheen takes a back seat and allows his incredible supporting cast to shine in what could easily be considered amongst the best Nam films ever made.
