Review of Platoon (1986) by Matt P — 24 Jun 2010
This is a powerful film that will envoke emotion into most anyone who sees it. It really was a tear jerker, and had me all wrapped up and involved in the story. This movie can make you feel as if you are up in your arms and in battle with Charlie Sheen.
What we learn from this movie that is greatly directed by Oliver Stone is that most of the time the real war we are fighting is within ourselves and not to our enemy. Willem Dafoe is an example of that with his stoic attitude and Christ-like demeanor.
I really enjoyed this movie.
