Easily the best film ever made about the Vietnam war simply because writer/director Oliver Stone throws you onto the battlefield head on. He doesn't simplify anything to make it easy for the viewers or glamorize anything to make it seem unique; Stone makes this a true experience, uncompromising and unforgettable.
