Review of Platoon (1986) by Chris B — 03 Feb 2012
A more personal look into Vietnam by Director Oliver Stone. This in my opinion is his best film in his filmography and rightfully so, it is a masterpiece among war films. With the enemy not just who the men fight, but the personal battles within.
Every character is well constructed with their own history and beliefs and this makes for a more heartfelt and sincere look into their stories. Highly Recommended! The film currently stands at #86 on AFI's Top 100 Films of All Time list.
