Review of Platoon (1986) by Ryan B — 31 Mar 2012
I guess this is one of those films that I just can't get into. I get the realism for the Vietnam war, to an extent, but overall the film's pace and narration just brought it down and didn't do anything for me.
Dafoe does a decent job in his role too, but I guess Sheen's performance is severely tarnished by his modern image. Some of the savagery animal behaviors of war though were done well I guess.
