A masterpiece in every way. Stone delivers one of the best war epics in our film history. Perhaps his best film. The rookie or innocent perspective of Sheen into the incomprehensible world of war makes this drama unforgettable.
No movie buff I know doesn't remember that momentous kneeling shot of Dafoe.
