Review of Platoon (1986) by Jake P — 22 Jun 2012
This is a good movie about Vietnam and what men went through. This film basically about Chris Taylor and the platoon he serves with. What the men go through both good and bad can be shocking, but it is not a discredit to the American Soldier, I look at it as honoring and exposing some of the horrific truths about the war and what people did.
With good story and great acting this film opens a world that any war movie buff would love to know and see. Great film in 1986 and well worthy of winning the Academy Award for best picture! A 10 out of 10.
