A shocking and brutally realistic war flick that certainly delivers an impact. More effective to those who haven't been conditioned to other films portraying the Vietnam conflict, but it still leaves a mark! Great acting, a resonant score, and some intense scenes highlighted by straightforward direction helps drive the message home.
