Review of Platoon (1986) by Neil D — 14 Mar 2013
Oliver Stone boldly portrays the horrors of the Vietnam war in the outstanding Platoon, a movie that has many meticulous sequences as well as engrossing moral conflicts.
It is a shame to see what has become of Charlie Sheen today, as this may have been his best performance. Berenger and Dafoe are electrifying, while it was great to see other familiar faces like Whitaker and Depp.
We may sadly never see another Oliver Stone movie like this.
