Oliver Stone's graphic Vietnam film about an American volunteer's tour of duty and the horrors he sees there is a winner on all levels. Almost hard to believe Charlie Sheen could command these types of roles when you see him now.
Not to be confused with Platoon Leader starring Michael Dudikoff, which was released shortly afterward.
