Review of Platoon (1986) by Kase V — 19 Jul 2012
Oliver Stone's 'Platoon' is an excellent foray into the chaos of our most chaotic war. It is still powerful, shocking, and realistic. Stone has a couple action sequences that are a little over-the-top, including the climax and the death of Elias.
The latter is such an iconic scene that it's forgivable. 'Platoon' still stands as one of the most important war films of our time.
