Review of Planet Terror (2007) by Steve P — 08 Nov 2011
Planet Terror,,, just thinking of the title conjures up images of a cheap crappy and pointless horror B-movie, but when I saw Quentin Tarantino's name attached to the double bill then I was curious to know more about the "Grind-house".
In-fact the first half of the double bill entertained me all the way through with lashings of flesh eating zombies. The none stop action and carnage was great as was some of the comical dialogue and creative scenes thrown in now and again.
Overall, I'm glad I watched it. Update on the second film tomorrow. Death Proof is the second part of the double Bill and doesn't disappoint either, in fact I enjoyed this more... Produced and starred in by Tarantino himself with the lead character played by Kurt Russel as a psychopathic stunt man who stalks young women before murdering them in staged car accidents using his "death-proof" stunt car.
