Review of Planet Terror (2007) by Marissa C — 13 Aug 2013
You would likely find more believability in a sci-fi film written by middle school students about Jesus and Satan teaming up to invade the Earth than in this chaos. Rodriguez clearly takes pride in the fact he is one of the most over the top directors currently in film, but after a while your intelligence begins to fel too insulted for you to have any more fun.
You almost feel raped visually by the amount of gore and explosives clustering the screen, but it all contributes nicely to the sheer madness occurring. Although fun at first, Planet Terror gradually becomes too outlandish to further enjoy.
There's certainly an audience for this kind of film out there, but that group is likely in the minority.
