Review of Planet Hulk (2010) by Raynormanbateman . — 22 Aug 2010
Let me start by saying the cover is pretty damn cool and definitely influenced me to watch this feature. I have always admired The Incredible Hulk and he is easily one of the finest superhero characters from Marvel so it is always nice to watch him smash things to pulp.
This animated film is based on a story where the Hulk was sent to space by the superheroes on earth because of lack of control when he is angry. He ends up smashing the hell out of the ship and lands on a planet where an evil man is the ruler and The Hulk becomes a slave. This is where the story becomes very familiar... Gladiator with Russell Crowe anyone? Needless to say much more about the story I think.
The animation was decent but not as cool as the cover looked sadly so I was mislead I think to thinking this would be more realistic than it was. I also did not like the fact that The Hulk does not get to do his usual that often but at the same time it was nice to see a calmer Hulk who can talk and interact with others.
This is worth a rent or a download but don't waste too much money.
